About

Our beef is raised in a calm, well cared for environment at our Cambridge farm.  Their diet consists of alfalfa and nutrient rich pasture grasses that we plant and grow on our farm and do not use herbicides or pesticides. We DO NOT finish our animals with grain! This keeps them clean, lean, healthy, lowers cholesterol and eliminates the grains grown and treated with Round-Up (glyphosate).

On a per pound measurement, you are receiving substantially more meat that is higher in protein and lower in saturated fat than you will find in the store. This is a much better value for your health and pocketbook. Hanging weight costs on our Highland beef is typically a bit higher than that of a grain fed angus for simple reasons. Scottish Highlands grow slower (which gives them more flavor). An angus or Herford can typically be finished with grains in 18-22 months. Grass-fed pasture-raised Highlands typically take 36+ months to reach market maturity and are also smaller animals.
